The most difficult and painful people to work with are the Ms or SMs who got to where they are now by hard-work and being very strong ICs (they deserve that respect still) but have literally no people or leadership skills. They’re so robotic, authoritarian, particularly inefficient. Everything has to be done the hard way.

Yes and the ones that are great leaders are seen as a threat by PPMDs and never move up or are pushed out.

likefunny

True. Workaholics serve PPMDs well. But the juice is squeezed from them and they will be burned out before they make partner.

I struggle with this. I often end up putting too much on my shoulders and get recognized for successfully completing projects but i do this because i have no trust in my team. I feel like outside of one or two resources everyone else sucks and requires too much hand holding. I get frustrated thinking how the hell did these people get hired at a big 4. I dont remember ever being like this as an A or SA. That being said, I always give recognition to my team on paper and tag the directors/partners, even though i don’t truly believe it and im giving them credit for things I actually completed myself. Would you have any recommendations on how to change this dynamic and get more out of my team ? I feel like i end up being too nice and make then dependent on me but i have no idea how to lead then to success if theyre not neurodivergent like i believe i am.

like

yeah idk.. i don’t think analysts or seniors really know enough to be improving things yet.

even as a manager i am not involved in a lot of decisions

mmm I also struggle with those that have no clue about how the business is run and the tasks involved. Maybe better than micromanagers... but in these times when all leaders are putting pressure on their teams to magically solve everything with AI, subject matter expertise on their end would be appreciated

Is there an Appendix to these threads to lookup the acronyms???

Haha, they're used so frequently around here that ppl just assume.
M=manager
SM = senior manager
IC = individual contributor

I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. Any tips on dealing with the irrational?

Hi Fishes,

I got interviewed at infosys two days back.
When can I expect to hear back from them.
Also all the questions that were asked to me were written coding questions(Write block of code) none were verbal.I could write all answers but none was 100% correct.

At last I asked the interviewer about feedback as in where was I wrong. He said at couple of places and he explained me where was I wrong.

Do you all think I will be rejected?
