The people I work with think I'm way more capable than I am. I keep getting handed projects I have zero experience with, just because I seem to know what I’m doing. I really don't. I’m just winging it and hoping for the best. Is the "fake it 'til you make it" mentality a good mindset or am I just setting myself up for disaster?

I have a job offer from Meta and awaiting my H1B transfer approval notice. I have never received an H1B visa stamp before. I want to work from India (& get H1 stamped with Meta based on offer letter+approval notice) during my notice period, followed by 2 weeks of unemployment, and start my new job at Meta once I return to the US.
