It’s a regulatory profession. There’s always going to be scandals. That’s what allows us to charge what we do.
I’ve said this since the middle of my first busy season. The only thing that will change PA will be another Enron level collapse. It’s coming. Time is ticking.
So which EY client should I be shorting then?

It can be implemented - just not easily.
Changing a $500B a year (or whatever it is) industry will arguably never be easy.
I’ll never forget the partner that opened my eyes by saying that PA is just a pyramid Ponzi scheme.
