They also tend to “bait & switch” or make lots of promises they can’t keep. Get everything in writing because they often do the bait and switch with benefits. Ask to see the employee handbook before accepting offer and read the fine print RE benefits. A later career profession who can stay under the owner’s radar could be ok at this job.

I know that some other associates at my level are approximately 30% behind other associates in hours on a month to month basis. Yet all of these associates say they are “at capacity”, and myself and another associate still end up being assigned work instead of them. How do we handle this? For reference, all associates are around the firms minimum requirement, it’s just that a few of us are 30+% over and it is leading to burnout.
