HCL Technologies offer being delayed and recruiter keeps saying that there's a problem with their "Offer release portal system." I have already stated my issues with relocating until after I have the offer signed and ready. The project is supposed to start on the 19th and I'm supposed to join before, or on that date. It's already coming up soon and I don't have the official offer so that I can confidently start the relocation process. Has anyone else recently dealt with this?

If it is indeed a pattern, he will do it again. So make sure you properly document it 🤷🏽♀️
Heard about a law firm where the patent lawyers were introduced to new clients by degrees background (masters and PhD) if men and by family background (married, number of children) if women. Of course the women all had masters and PhDs, too. Sometimes sexism is sexism.
She says something like “Hi I’m excited to meet everyone & be part of this project. It’s an industry that I’ve worked in for X years and have built out similar at other companies. I also have a XYZ background and xyz certifications & something personal.
That was it.
After the clients left and it was just the consulting team. The director says to the new joiner “XYZ client has been great to work with. Glad you’re here. The culture is one where being humble is key”. He repeated it again layer saying “humility is appreciated here”.
He doesn’t say that to men and seems to only go on that soap box when it’s a woman sharing facts about her credentials.
Ignore idiots and move on. Stop looking for victim-hood.
If the client’s women lead teams start noticing and it impacts the client relationship and the firms money, it wont be victim hood at that point.
Rising Star
The most miserable and unprofessional managers I’ve had have always been women. They frequently confuse being assertive with being aggressive and cruel.
Personal bias can cause others to say the same about men and how they frequently use sexism and harassment to “put women in their place”.
Did he call all the women on the side to tell that? And left the men alone ? How many times have you seen this ?
Humility is appreciated everywhere, specially as consultant. You could ask to provide an example of what that entails at this client. I don’t see ANY issues with saying that about a client environment
Regardless of whether it is 'appreciated', I would never stay at a company that allowed or encouraged people to say it.
Past the sending of the resume why are degrees even talked about? If someone asks me on a personal level that’s different. D.DIV, M.DIV., MARE, and BA. And I’ve spent most of 30 years using it other than attorney firms where attorneys were amazed at my critical thinking skills. I often downplayed my BA, because it wasn’t a skill, per se: not an accountant, nurse, architect, etc. Then my brother in law said, “ You B A guys, the only thing that you guys know how to do is think.” He’s right. I’m analytical. Apparently that’s a thing. Who knew?
