Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.
They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.
Kab tak aayega yaar yeh appraisal

Big time - and even more so if it’s a white guy wearing that white collar.
BCG2 you’re statement right there is contributing to the problem. You are prejudging a massive group of people of whom you have statistically only met a small subset. In other words you are being prejudice. Now you can argue that because you are “punching up” it doesn’t matter, but people who make statements like these should at least recognize the hypocrisy in them. I come from a low income white family and experienced many of the same institutional problems that are faced by people of color. I am not ignorant of the fact that the color of my skin has allowed me certain privileges in life and I have witnessed firsthand my black friends treated unfairly because of unconscious bias. However many of the social injustices and sytemic oppression that we are fighting today is class based and not solely limited to skin color. Growing up I had far more in common with my black friends and their families than I did with rich white kids.
Not that this can't happen, but Gundlach is primarily a bond guru and isn't someone I'd consider all that plugged into corporate op models and such.
More broadly though, I think it's just kind of shoddy reporting. He seems to have just used middle management as an example, to illustrate that relatively expensive but poorly performing employees are going to get hit harder. It's not about middle management in general.
SPY up 10% on this news
Jeff Gundlach has been a hack for years with his wild claims and no data.
Will we see layoffs? Yes.
Will we see many of those roles filled by people other than white? Yes.
Not the same as a pandemic of white firings
Lol OP! Must be. Good catch.
I’m not a parent myself, but maybe part of this can be explained that some of these people can’t be responsive during normal business hours because they have to take care of small kids?
This guy sells bonds lmao. Guess everyone better buy some now since their job is at risk!
If you read past they headlines he’s just saying with everyone working remote it’s easier for him to see who’s doing the work based on responsiveness and everyone needs to be showing value beyond “managing”

Why? We’re the only people that can actually work right now
Not sure if this is supposed to be some kind of revelation. His assertion is essentially just an extension of, “When times are lean, you trim the fat.” And yeah, some companies will identify some unnecessary bureaucracy if they’re feeling the heat and downsize. Many others will take stock and realize that management does serve a purpose. And many of the aforementioned companies that cut employees will *also* realize that, just the hard way.
If this wasn’t from Gundlach, I’d be inclined to agree.
