I think chatbots are very helpful but still customers always require human service as we understand them better.
Many people really think so, although in my opinion chatbots are not enough.
We will still be necessary. While chatbots can be a valuable support tool, they are not able to provide the same level of support as a human being.
I think as AI chatbots get smarter, the number of customer tickets that get through to a person will dwindle. We will always be needed to solve complex issues (or deal with particularly angry customers), but I think chatbots will take the bulk of the work.
At this point in time, it is unclear whether or not customer support will be led by chatbots. However, it is likely that we will still be necessary in order to provide a high level of customer service.
In the foreseeable future, customer support will still be largely reliant on human interaction. While chatbots can be helpful in automating certain tasks or providing basic information, they are not yet sophisticated enough to handle more complex customer inquiries. Therefore, human customer service representatives will continue to be necessary to provide quality support to customers.
There will always be a nee for customer service, but we're going to see the number of those jobs drop significantly. We're already starting to see it :/
I'd like to say we will never be completely replaced but then again, so much is normal now that I would have thought impossible 10 years ago.
