Started out ok then quickly made a left turn. A sort of dire end of the world but you (the millennial, and gen Z kid brother) are the Pixar super heros, and only you can save the world from the clutches of the evil boomers (and some gen X-men).
This is not an accurate depiction of reality, or what happens during or after recessions. It is merely an emotional rant. It’s just noise.
I agree. I expected some concrete recommendations after reading the first few paragraphs, then it came off as incoherent ramblings. I scrolled down to the bottom to see his call to fights for higher severance pay, which is a great idea.
Absolutely not. While I partially favor the concepts of collective bargaining etc, the American vision and historical implementation of unions leaves much to be desired.
I am very skeptical that any sort of union will not be taken over by somone pushing some sort of private agenda - if we can't even get state and local governance right what hope do we of implementing unions in a representative fashion?
And honestly - let's pretend MBB associates/consultants decided to strike (for better hours or something, idk) - how many of us at B4 or boutiques wouldn't hesitate to step in?
Those companies have no obligations. That $4T was from work that other generations did. How can Gen Z stake a claim to it?
