This year’s holiday season seemed to hit me like a freight train feeling so overwhelmed with wrapping up work, getting ready for Christmas, and just solo parenting this week with my partner out of town. Cherry on top partner wants us to go on trip next weekend a trip which is actually the last thing I want - only adding to that feeling of more things to do with less and less time. Sigh anyone else?

How open are mental health discussions in your families? Whether it be talking about your struggles or suggesting therapy to family members? Anyone done it successfully and mind sharing ideas here?

Thoughts on unlimited PTO?

Planning a trip to Rome and Naples with day trips to Tivoli and Pompeii. Is 1 week enough? I feel like reading through 3/4 day Rome and 2 day Naples itineraries, the trip seems rushed. I have unlimited PTO but my SO is limited in time (but luckily he can work extra hrs and then use less PTO). I would say max we could do is 1.5 weeks but adding on 3-5 more days seems almost too much? Thoughts? For reference, I did Venice-Florence-Rome in a week and it seemed okay but it also wasn’t as planned out

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together. It was such a beautiful relationship but ultimately he just didn’t love me. I love him so much. My mind knows that I deserve reciprocal love and I’m worthy, but I feel physically ill. I have my last day at employer A right before thanksgiving and will be covered on their health insurance through 11/30. I am taking some time off before starting a new position with employer B in mid January but their insurance wouldn’t be effective until 2/1. I have 60 days to elect COBRA under employer A, which leaves me with 2 days where I wouldn’t have coverage (Jan30/31). What would you do in this situation? (Cont)
