Thoughts about MoFo SF? Products liability group

I am looking at other government jobs.
1. When I fill out my job experience, do I need to include the last ten years or every job I’ve had? I don’t have anything to hide, but I especially in my late teen years I was a job hopper.
2. I have worked seasonally in retail to make ends meet. Do I need to put this on my work experience when applying?

I started a company just under 1 year ago. We sell a product via ecom channels and have done ~100K in revenue with a 60% gross margin.

The first 6 months I was working a full time job. I quit my job to focus on the business full time, and have since depleted my readily available capital. I’m bootstrapping the business with my own funds. I was recently offered a job in my old industry for 80K per year. I was previously making 62K.

Should I take the job?

Unfortunately mine doesn't have anything particularly unique or interesting. I guess the extra $750 deposited into our HSA accounts annually is ok. Also love corporate memberships to a lot of the big museums and tourist spots for when friends and family come to visit ☺️

This is a question for (heterosexual) couples with children where the woman is the primary income earner (ie. let’s say over 2/3 of the household income) and the man also works full time. How are parenting and household duties split up in your home? My husband thinks 50/50 is fair even though I work late into the night most days (often till 1 am) while he works a 9-5. When I object he says my career is my choice and he doesn’t care about the money. We used to pay for outside help prior to Covid.

I’m a second year associate and last night I was online until 2:30 AM waiting for one specialists comment to a purchase agreement. I had added all comments during the day from everyone else, and the midlevel and senior were online as well, but it seemed very strange to ask me to stay up just to add three sentences to a purchase agreement. I’ve been having a bit of trouble working with one partner at a new firm. There are definitely things I can/need to work on for improvement, but I’ve been practicing for four years and have had no trouble with other partners/peers before. I’m a junior in big law and in the short time I’ve been here, I’ve noticed that counsels produce perfect drafts and yet aren’t partners but partners can’t write two sentences without numerous typos. Shouldn’t counsels be partners and partners counsels instead?

How did you give notice you were lateraling to people you like? Particularly if you haven't been there that long?

I'm lateraling to another firm because frankly I think the management of this one is terrible, but the people (and individual partners) I actually work with are awesome. I've only been here for about 18 months, so I imagine that short time frame will make it extra awkward 😬

Serious question: what was biglaw like back in the 90s? Did ya'll have big cellphones and catered lunches? How is it different for associates back then versus now?
