Kind souls who successfully exited to Google,
Would you be kind enough to refer me to a role at Google!
Came across a role that's a good fit. Would ideally like to target it through a referral and not by applying through the career site.
Would also love to maybe take you for a meal or alike to thank you for it :) Google

Great for current signup bonus. If you sign up in a branch the AF gets waived, too. Then either upgrade to the Reserve or downgrade to one of the Freedom cards based on your usage after 1yr
Or! Do the modified double dip:
- sign up in branch for CSP. Provided you’re approved you then
- apply for CSR the next morning, before the chase systems realize you have a sapphire already.
Get both SUBs, downgrade preferred after 1 yr

Never really saw the point against the Reserve
I got the preferred last fall when it had an amazing bonus offer (was around $800 cash value when redeemed for expenses) but that offer has since gone away so I'd say it isnt really worth it anymore.
Oh then they brought it back cause I think that was the offer I got as well. I'd say it's worth it for your purposes mentioned on the other comment
Great for the points offer. Combined with other chase freedom cards is a decent option if you aren’t a huge spender.
Outside of signup bonuses, Chase reserve really only starts to make sense from a points perspective when you’re putting ~7k+ a year of travel and dining on it. Lots of people will disagree without doing the math.
Preferred is def a good option for the signup bonus in your situation.
Depending on your spending tho you may want to cancel/downgrade after a year since the annual fee may not be worth it
I signed up for the 80K sign on bonus (I heard it expires next week and will got back to 60k). $95 fee includes $50 grocery credit. Upgrading to Chase Saphire Reserve after a year when the world is more open and I’ll be traveling to clients. Reserve sign on bonus is less than preferred (because points get 1.5x instead of 1.25x on preferred), so I’ll get the points from preferred and spend them when I have a reserve
Without the sign on bonus, I dont think upgrading to csr is worth it for the 1.5x given the high fees. I have csp now, but plan to redeem points and then cancel.
I don’t think about the Preferred. I have the reserve and love it!
Modified double dip. Why not get both?
KPMG1, how do I go about manufactured spend?
