I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Depends on how much you'd be paying for it. I worked for an employer who paid 80% of it, so I do think it was worth it for me. But if I had taken on the tuition bill myself, then it would definitely not have been worth it. Just gotta weigh the costs against POTENTIAL benefits. There are no guarantees
I agree. I think your buying you network. So test the network before you join a program. The career office should be willing to connect you with alums. Also, my mom taught me never turn down free education so if it’s reimbursed or covered via scholarships/grants the it’s a no brainer.
the only good i think it did was help me to get interviews, but other than that it hasn't been worth anything. if you can get it paid for, go for it.
Don’t worry about it
I’ve heard both sides, too. A close friend in paid media got an MBA, thinking it’d unlock big roles, but what actually helped more was her network. She said the classes were useful, but the career jump came from who she met. Maybe the real question is: what do you want out of it? If it’s leadership or pivoting industries, it could still make sense. Is an MBA life-changing? Not really. But it can give you structure, time to reflect, and a more strategic lens on marketing. That said, if you’re staying in digital, I’d say PMP + a killer portfolio + some cross-functional project wins will get you further for less money. The MBA shine only really hits in corp-heavy orgs.

My employer offers tuition reimbursement so I took advantage. It allowed me to teach college courses part time. Getting an MBA depends on what you’re using it for.
Once you have a few years in the field, I don't think it's really important. I got mine because it was a dream/bucket list item of mine. But I wouldn't say I learned much and it hasn't advanced my career (yet).
I’m glad I completed my MS in digital marketing, about 1.5 years ago. But, I have yet to acquire a role that has paid me adequately for my knowledge and experience. In the last few years it feels like people want to pay you less for more knowledge
Did an MBA and loved it! It opened doors, I met friends, and learned a lot! However it really depends on the school and what your goals are!
