Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

Heard. 7th year but class of 2016 and feeling hardcore burned out

lol all good. It’s really hard to come back from a deep burnout. I hit that point around 6 years into my career and I’m there again at 10 years in. I’m aggressively scaling back on daily obligations (which is hard because I also have school age kids) and actively not trying to take on more work that what I need to get through an 8 hour billable day. I’m hoping a few months of that help my mental state

same. Giving it one more year then looking in house.
If you want an in-house job one year from now, you should probably start looking now. It can take a while.
I worked my first summer of law school in a big firm. I would see partners in the office on Sunday and I asked myself why I wanted to bust my ass for years to make partner just for the privilege of being able to work on Sunday?
Coach
No A4, my question was why the summer associate was there in Sundays, not why the partners were there. I get why the partners were there lol
Ya all make me rethink wanting to pivot back from my secondment soon to be full time inhouse. 9-5, but more like < half a day work on most days. How much would you take to go inhouse?
You can make up the money by diligently investing all savings and living below your means for a decade
Me but I'm only a second year 😭 I love money so much though
