They offering OTR, Which I paid my dues on the road. I an my family want to spend more time together. So Why can't I get local at 53 years old having an amazing career as a CDL driver, but only offered OTR. Discrimination is the real factor.

I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand.
