It's really frustrating when that happens. Working on commission is already difficult enough, but when coworkers take advantage of the fact that we find it difficult to approach customers just makes me want to give up.
I personally believe that working on commission is exploitative and does not foster any kind of camaraderie among employees, and this is a perfect example of why. At the end of the day everyone wants to make as much money as possible, regardless of whether it takes away from others in the process.
f so, let me tell you that you are in the wrong place.
Hey, but if you're working on commission or improving your social skills at the end of the month, you won't have enough to live on.
Have you tried to improve your social skills? One way I recommend is to approach people with a "hello my name is..." the person's immediate response will force you to respond, and this will force you to improve your skills, if only with a hello.
Ummm, do your bosses know about your situation? There are companies in this area that help their most timid workers because their objective is to improve sales so that everyone can sell, you lose nothing by talking to your direct supervisor about this issue.
The best way to overcome this fear is to know that you know more about the product you are offering than the customer, that is, he always needs your help, from the description of the product to the purchase of it, you are his best friend, so don't worry. You think that it will go badly for you, you know more than the client.
