Any remote doc review positions out there for a JD (not admitted)? Helping out a friend who has exhausted the online search.
I am SO tired of hearing “you’re on mute”. How have people not figured out how to effectively use zoom/teams/etc yet. 🤦♀️😭
Anyone feel almost shamed or snarky comments are said when you do your job or don’t slack like some of the coworkers? I don’t want to be rude but also want to let them know it’s not cool.
Is there an option or add-in for Outlook that automatically reduces the font or zoom for emails received from specific people that are typing large?
I’m going to start doing read alouds on Zoom for the students. Any recommendations for upper elemetary? Maybe something uplifting to help battle the anxiety they might be feeling?
I work in a group that has had to come in to the office regularly during COVID (lots of work with original documents and wet ink signatures). It’s real estate and title companies still require wet ink documents. One junior has refused to come in because he says he’s concerned about COVID. We all wear masks, close our doors, and socially distance. We’ve all had to pick up the slack for him. Just found out he’s taking his second vacation during COVID and visiting family in FL. I could scream.
Some of my clients have had a blurred zoom background. It’s definitely not static; the background blur moves as their cameras move around too. Anyone know what this is?!
Moms- how are you handling social distancing and WFH without childcare? Tips and tricks?
Hi all - I’m working as a Jr AE at a remote agency. Before full-time at this agency, I interned there for 2 years and often did pro-bono work. I love my company so much, but I often feel stuck when it comes to salary and growth. The salary is minimum wage and every time I ask about a raise they agree I need one but never get around to it. Today, I was offered a position at another agency as a remote AE with more than double my current salary. I didn’t seek this job out but don’t know what to do.
I’m 36, earn 100k and I work maybe 30 hours a week, and I’m a shining star. It allows me to enjoy life without stress. I can linger around and see myself (slowly) climbing the ladder. But part of me wants to put in hard work and grow a lot in my career and earn more for a stable financial future, but it means I’ve got to work more and stress more and I’m worried I won’t get time to relax and enjoy my life as before. But also I’m worried I’ll slack off. Anyone going through this? Would I regret?
Do people have tips on how to manage ADD/ ADHD and the feeling of restlessness? I have a mild case of ADD and in the last 2 years have found myself becoming increasingly distracted and less productive at work. I work on whatever that’s in front of me for 10 mins and suddenly a new thought/ question pop up in my head and I switch to chasing that down. The work from home situation also made me become less focused and I feel increasingly guilty and restless.
Is doing freelance work on the side (when I’m off the clock, of course) considered taboo? Considering signing up for Fiverr to make some fun money but I don’t want any bad blood with my current job because I really like it and am not planning on leaving any time soon. (Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is my first copywriting job out of college and I’ve been 100% remote, so it’s hard to get a feel for things like this!)
Hello experts, What do you think how long will this wfh continue?? Now i have an offer from mphasis, atos, with 100% hike. Initially wfh remotely but later on if office opens, will have to move to bangalore. What do you think how long will this wfh continue ????
Hi ladies, looking for advice on pivoting my career. Currently primary engineer for a system that supports 25k users across 200+ offices. I'm bored with IT. I'm a Jill of many trades, networking, wireless, voice, etc. I'm currently working on learning various netops tools. I like figuring out how to put pieces together but it's not much of a challenge anymore. I'm working on putting together a 5 year plan to move to 100 percent remote because my husband wants to retire and move. Advice?
How do you deal with all of the constant pings? I need some focus time to write emails & create campaigns but my entire team tends to be “on call” with Slack all day and it’s making me crazy. I want to bring this up to the rest of the executive team because we are overboard with the constant notifications and questions/comments that don’t really need to be in slack.
Got asked by my manager what would be the best practice for track & trace instead of scheduling hangout meetings over & over since everyone is in WFH mode. Do you have first-hand experience to share?
What skill should I learn so my my next gig can be 80-100% remote? Currently in the IT Audit/ governance space. Leaning towards data analytics/ science and cyber as far as interests go
For the love of god, please let me deactivate incoming video feeds on Zoom when I’m on my mobile, otherwise I need to constantly move the presenter’s feed around to view a complete slide. Teams do that, and I don’t understand why Zoom, with its terrible UI, doesn’t allow that. And since you’re at it: make it obvious that you’re muted or not (with a discreet overlay sign for example)
If you could work remote from anywhere in the US, where would you? (Within reason, of course)
Anyone here exit to PE post b school? Did you have PE experience prior. Am hearing even I go to hsw, you need PE experience to get back to a PE vp. I’ve heard just a few few shops hire mbb finance project folks
Anyone at ORD wants to get a drink?
I am curious to hear your honest thoughts. I don’t know what other firms have done but my firm has fired people, furloughed people, cut pay, delayed promotions and hire dates, etc. but also has allocated a chunk of change above what has been given in the past to support social justice causes. While I support the cause I wonder how associates feel about this when frankly some of it is at their expense?
What’s the difference between a program manager and product manager at Amazon? Is comp different?

Friend has JD/MBA and 130k in student loans and after 3 months of looking just accepted a job for 72k. That’s a nightmare right there. Really adjusting my desire to go get my MBA now.
We are hiring a Media Buyer (TV/Radio experience required) and a Copywriter! Remote/WFH with no plans in the near future to return to office. Check LinkedIn for JD’s. Media Buyer role should be posted today!
I believe MBA has somewhere lost its value. In the age of technology, one should pursue Technology related courses rather than spending a hefty amount on MBA. What's your view on this fishes?
Hiya! Trying to get a decent understanding of what paybands are like for my experience and role at other firms or in industry . For anyone that is roughly 2yoe in Toronto working in cyber please share your salaries! Thanks in advance! I’ll start, I make 81k.
Hi All, It’s been a week since I last heard from pwc in regards to my interview. I gave them my availability for next week but I’m on holiday and few of the days won’t be at home. Shall I follow up with recruiter and make them aware that I’m still waiting for something to be scheduled. Really don’t want to keep waiting…
Hi ladies. I need some advice. I'm currently out on maternity leave, to return in about a month. I was just informed my male counterpart in my department will be getting a promotion by our new boss. This is really a slap in the face considering I've been trying to fight for equal pay since last year when I found out another (former) male counterpart of mine was making 40k more than me. What would you do in my situation? Demand to know why I wasn't considered? Leave?
Is Anomaly the most overrated agency?
16k EQD in AA. Am I even close to being selected for Concierge Key? Mostly fly out of Chicago.
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Hello everyone! This is my first time posting since joining this platform. I’m interested in connecting with someone who is open to HR mentoring. I’ve been in HR now for about six years and have never had a mentor. I’ve been relying mostly on SHRM and other people in the company for feedback. Even if it’s for feedback, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
Opinions wanted-Does randomly calling on students using a random generator create an emotionally safe classroom? I had a very quiet class last year where no one wanted to answer (Precalc) and I called on the students randomly and that caused anxiety among some students. I want it to be safe to answer, but of course I don’t know the students previous classroom experiences with other teachers. What are your best practices?

As a B4 assurance manager, what do you choose between assistant controller (let's say, of a hospital system division -- not THE overall assistant controller) or VP Finance/CFO of a small university?
