Update from a few weeks ago: well, it was too good to be true and I was so desperate, I couldn't see the scam that was right in front of me. I should have done some more research or ask more questions. Lesson learned I suppose - if you don't talk to a person on the phone or video call, it's most likely a scam.

How do I bounce back? How can I make sure that I'm talking to a real person?

Learned on the day of the deadline to enroll, that my partner's employer offers voluntary participation on a deferred compensation plan. First time I hear of such a benefit/option after working for years! Any general (i.e. not plan-specific) lessons-learned, gotchas, pointers to offer as we will have to quickly decide to enroll or not?

You just finished teaching a skill / topic in your lesson. Children are now off to work on that skill independently: who are you targeting first to support, your students in the red or your students in the yellow?

Do you work the holidays into your lesson plans this time of year? Or is it too much of a distraction from your routine? Teaching a SPED music class this year and the students have finally *mostly* become comfortable in the room and with the instruments + noise. We usually work on the same songs each week for one month, but I'm thinking of switching it up and doing Christmas/Holiday songs next week as a send off into break. I work with mostly autistic students.

Anyone have good dog trainers near by? Have a 6 month puppy who I want to be very well trained. Either private lessons, board and training, or group lessons
