Upper elementary teachers: when you do read alouds, do you read a whole chapter to the class each day, or do you just read for a set number of minutes?- I.e: 10 minutes a day. (Please factor in books like Harry Potter that have pretty lengthy chapters)

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

I have used web quests, but I have found that the kids researching their choice of topics and creating Slides containing information and pics results in more students participating.
