The main reasons to stay at a firm once you hit manager and senior manager is you want to be a partner, or don’t have a good exit op yet.
I would never commute 3hrs a day, but sounds like a good exit op
Coach
Sounds like a great opportunity. Salary is just 1 piece of compensation, what about PTO, 401K match, and PFL ?
15 days of PTO is a joke. Not enough and they will make you log the days strictly. 15% is low too, that’s even lower than a FAAS manager PBB for a high performer. Are you a high performer?
Decision comes down to wasting 3 hours of your day to the commute. Assuming you have a family or starting one soon it may not be the wisest decision in terms of giving up remote working
Makes sense OP. I would personally stay but that’s because I would rather stay but I may be biased since I prefer EY’s WFH (as of now) and unlimited PTO.
Promotion is from manager 3 to senior manager. Expect 15% salary raises each year from m2 to m3 to sm1 assuming good performance. Then PBB bonus is separate based on performance.
Is it worth sticking around long term?
How much stock? In what stage is the company in? What’s the value of the stock right now? These should help answer your question.
