We have a new hire who is smart but keeps skipping little documentation steps because they say they will fill it in later. Nothing major has gone wrong yet, but I can already see how this becomes a bigger issue if equipment logs or sample handling get sloppy. Would you address it early even if it feels minor?

Absolutely. It's better to start establishing good practices rather than trying to unlearn behaviors later. Really reiterate to them that it's not an optional step, it's incredibly important and even explain why if you think it'll help.

Yes. Problems like this only compound over time. Just because he hasn't dropped the ball yet doesn't mean he never will, and it's most likely a question of when, not if. Get on top of it now.

Are you in a regulated field or an adjacent one? Any skips are a big no no if your information is used for anything GMP or even GLP

Sports Sponsorships
Hey everyone - I am currently in the process of evaluating a few sports sponsorships for a client. These are for minor league teams - nothing professional. Taking into consideration our marketing objectives, budget, etc. What are some good tips for pricing these out? Found a random engagement ring.

Hi all, so I found a platinum ring (which I assumed it's an engagement ring as it has dates and initials engraved on top.) And a Divvy tag (I have no idea what it was until I googled it. Apparently it's a bike sharing service in Chicago) in a briefcase I ordered online. I was thinking of returning the item back to the store but that wouldn't help the person who lost the ring. Attached is a picture of them.

What should I do now?

**I'm not in Chicago

Supply chain issues are still a problem. And Fisher and VWR (Avantor) are as greedy as ever. I’m considering looking into starting or investing into a U.S. manufacturing based lab supply company. Thoughts? Anyone work for these companies that can discuss logistics and potential challenges?

I have been approached by 3 separate HR people at a startup company to interview for a position. I already have a fulltime job that pays well and I only started 6 months ago too. Anyways, the pay was intriguing and the job was a high level scientific advisor so I did interviews. At the last interview, at the end I was told the job was for management but I prepared for a different kind of interview. I am waiting for an offer or rejection letter. I feel peeved that they wasted my time. Red flags?
