Well I found out I lost out on a promotion due to an error I corrected. I mean it’s fair in some ways there was an error on a project I was working on but I fixed it and it worked. Kind of sucks but I guess there’s always next time. Anyone else find out they lost out on a promotion?

I’m glad to know but it still stings

Dang, that really stinks. I am really sorry to hear that.

Thanks, it’s fine-ish, I’m kind of glad I found out
Still stupid but there’s always this cycle

Working for a senior who is beyond horrible. She talks to you like you’re stupid and makes it sound like you’re absolutely terrible at what you’re doing. She’s made 5 other associates cry during her 5 year career. Got someone fired and made another person quit. It’s known around the office that she can no longer have a female associate, because she talks down to females more than she does males. I came along and thought I could deal with it but she literally makes me want to not log on tomorrow.

I understand the importance of citations. It's a wonderful way to show how your work builds on previous research. But sometimes I just want to write an article that says "I think this" without having to cite everyone who ever said that before me.

Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.
