If you're looking for inspirational films about addiction I highly recommend The Resurrection of Jake the Snake Roberts. It's a documentary about the wrestler who had about as bad an addiction problem as you can imagine. It goes through his problems, despair, but also shows his road to recovery through platonic love, support, and he finds redemption. It's great for anyone like me that tried and failed to get sober for years. I have over a year now for the first time.

I joined a new team and have noticed something off with my Director over the last months (slurring speech, no show to calls or even full days of work). Question about solo/self-employed 401ks: If I create a sole-member LLC for a side business and create a solo/self-employed 401k, am I only allowed to make contributions from the earnings earned via the LLC? Or am I allowed to contribute money earned from a different source (ie W-2 job).

I interviewed for KPMG on 11/15 for a Senior role and the HR emailed me on 11/16 that everyone liked me but they think I should be hired as an Experienced Associate. People that have small children - how do you deal with your child’s stress and separation anxiety when you go to work? My 4-year old goes berserk almost every day at some point relating to me having to work. Do you all see a compelling future in your tax career? I’ll go first, I don’t see a compelling future working for a large PA firm in the long run because you have to work more as you move up. However, I do see a compelling future by using my knowledge and skills to open my own firm/business and work less hours as long as I make enough money which is $75k, or if I do work long hours, it’s because I want to.
