What are the best personal travel credit cards for consulting?
I am able to use a personal card but am supposed to book any business related travel through SAP concur, so I’m assuming that cards such as Venture X that rely on booking via their travel portal are less useful?
I also spend a lot on dining so I’m looking for a card that is good for that as well.

Chase Sapphire Reserve all the way. $300 annual travel credit, priority pass lounge access, and an effective 4.5% cash return if used for travel (or paying off your bill).

Also includes dash pass, travel insurance, and a handful of other perks.

I love the CSR. I’ve had it for about 3 years. I like the Peloton credit we got as well. Earlier this year I also used the $150 Away credit and bought new luggage

I alternate based on billing cycle.

The CSP (the one I have - the other had a fairly high annual fee) has a really nice welcome bonus: 60k points ($750 value) after 4k in purchases over the first three months.

like

use separate cards for different uses. hotel branded card for hotels, airline branded cards for specific airlines and so on.

like

bad in what sense? I opened up 3 credit cards 2 months ago for the welcome bonus and my credit is at 830.

op, my card use depends on what I am buying. I take advantage of the most cash back for the transactions that make the most sense.

Amex Platinum for travel and Amex Gold for dining

You can book hotel from any site as long as rates are comparable to corporate travel site. But make sure to book flight tickets only from corporate travel site.

😂 concur is still widely used ? lmao
Anyway, SaaS already started eclipsing legacy solutions such as concur.
In the near future, you won’t probably have to bother about it anymore.

That’s true but not all firm’s SAP implementations are relying on SAP Concur SaaS version.
There are still concur legacy users.
And some eponym expense systems still in use by the beginning of this year.
