I am an SA1 in the UK, 3 years in the firm. In the UK there’s a threat of losing your job if you fail your cpa equivalent exams twice. My anxiety started from there when I sat my final 3 exams in July and it builds up as I started to work a very complex big job straight after the exam. I have also been constantly working busy seasons (dec, march, june, and sept year end) and I it is pretty taxing. I am so tired of my sister and mom, and the pressure they apply on me to get married, 32 year old female and I have not met someone yet. I was in a relationship last year for a year and he turned out to be a very mean person and they now don’t trust me at all and want me to marry the first nice guy I go on a date with even if I have no attraction at all, and if I go on a couple of dates and I don’t feel it, they question my judgement. I flunked out of school and had no options when I joined the army. I hated every second of my time in, and spent all my weekends getting as drunk as possible.

Now that I’m out, I graduated with my BA in Econ, got a job I love, and somehow got into an M7 Bschool with a 670 GMAT. I look back on my time in and laugh, and still talk with some of my old army buddies (though not as often anymore)

I joined EY a year ago as a senior and am very fed up with my group. I work on short-term projects with very scrutinized budgets, yet my utilization is supposed to be 100%, so my hours are scrutinized by the teams I work with and leadership. It feels like it's all they care about. Has anyone moved firms due to such reason?
