What are the salary ranges like in the Las Vegas, Nevada area? Can you make big money with good work life balance?

There aren’t a ton of big firms in Vegas. Plus you need to take the NV bar to practice in a NV firm — can’t waive into the bar.

Read as, “I want to get paid like I work hard, but don’t actually want to work hard.” 🙄

More like read as, “I’d like to make a good living while still having a life and being able to see my family”

My experience with the Vegas office of a prior firm was that firms had a hard time finding any attorneys (1) worth much of anything and (2) that would stay at the job for any length of time. Make of that what you will. It’s both weak competition and a skeptical hiring market.

From Vegas, I make good money (first year $120k) working in a mid size plaintiffs firm and work very manageable hours. Business lit firms pay upwards of $140k for first years. Easy to be a big fish in a small pond.

Everything is fine from my Capgemini manager and client manager. Only i am expecting HR Call and that will happen next week as my manager said. Any suggestion what will be next CTC ? Thanks All

Got a temp offer for less than a year without promise of turning into full-time. Wanted to know what ppl think about temp jobs (looks bad on resume if I don't turn full-time later within the company?) and what comp should look like (e.g. 1.2× of regular comp?).

Got another perm offer in a different industry for similar salary, but I might have to relocate and I'm concerned the work may involve translation instead of pure legal work.

I was doing some googling and I saw that PWC offers MBA hires 45k in comparison to MBBs at 70k +. Is this a bad joke? I can't imagine that PWC's target for MBA hires is widely different from MBB. In the US, the pay gap isn't that wide. Any reason behind this madness?

Transactional associate. Lateraled 6 months ago and one of the biggest pain points has been my new firm’s inclination to “hop on a call”, which of course requires every single stakeholder to join. The end result being every call has 25 people on it and nothing actually gets done because no one wants to ask a question that could come off as silly. It’s destroying my ability to get anything done during the day. It’s a complete performance and it drives me nuts.

Currently in the final stages of the interviewing process for a "non-partnership track attorney" position at a top-ranked big law firm.
