Tips/Resources needed for Codility Assessment for Deloitte's entry-level GPS analyst role!!
I had two rounds of on-campus recruitment last week, and today, my recruiter requested that I complete a 1-hour Codility assessment. I have no coding experience.... and not sure why that's needed for the GPS analyst role. I'm literally an environmental science major LOL. is this part of the interview process? could i literally not get the role because i don't know how to code? Deloitte #Codility
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Put a goal at the top of your resume that relates to why you want to work there. Mine for instance is to "grow within the company to utilize my abilities to bring great results to their (put what ever the company's mission statement is here)". I think it helps because it shows you've done your research on the company and that you want to apply yourself to it.

Isn’t this the same function as a cover letter?
Keep it simple and do not lie. You can make something by sounds fancier than it was but do not lie about your experience - it will hurt in the long run
Keep it simple - some people use so much technical jargon that you can’t understand what impact their work had. It’s a balance. A potential manager should be able to see how your skills could help if you’re going to move into a new role (different from your past roles) and you should be able to get your resume picked up by AI resume scanners for key words.
Use words from the job descriptions in your resume and include accomplishments.
1. Someone already said it, but do not lie. The financial industry is smaller than it seems - everyone knows someone and lies will most certainly get you black listed.
2. Do your research and personalize your resume and cover letter. Both should speak to your attributes that will contribute to the position you are applying for.
