Hi! I have been working in marketing and advertising for ~5 years and recently started exploring the freelance side of things. I started conversations with a small boutique studio about doing Facebook ads for them and they asked what my retainer fee would be to manage them. Since I’ve always worked for a company that was hired to do it I am not entirely sure what a freelance rate for that should be? I would love any insight. Since iOS 14 changes, Facebook ads isn't the same anymore. Why?

A. >75% iOS users denied tracking. They are no longer tracked across websites/apps. Facebook lost its edge.
B. Targeting and conversion tracking aren't as effective anymore.
C. Many advertisers have been migrating their budgets from Facebook to Apple and Amazon ads.

After doing freelance for the last two years, I’ve decided to go back to the corporate world. I’ve been applying a ton of places but keep getting turned down immediately - not even a first interview and I can’t figure out why.

I feel like I have a lot of good accolades as far as awards, a graduate certificate program board I’m on, really good stats from my previous work, etc.

I have 7 years experience. Are people looking for someone w/ less experience/cheaper?

Switching career fields - Any advice on virtual ‘Brand Strategy’ courses/certificates/tools/websites etc?

I’ve heard of classes by Mark Pollard & Julian Cole or courses via Udemy, Hubspot, Credly - would love to add a noteworthy certificate to my LinkedIn but not 100% necessary. Mostly looking to increase my knowledge in a career field I know nothing about.

So, recently got put on a PIP after six months at my new job., two days after I told my boss and HR I recently learned I have a cognitive disability caused by an illness. The PIP was mostly because I forgot some deadlines, but also they said I need to be more professional in emails (even though others use zero punctuation and a lot of emojis. To clients.) and simultaneously ask more questions and ask fewer questions. Should I just assume this is unattainable and look for a new job again?

Is automated bidding the only way to go about? I know manual bidding may not be efficient but is there a middle path where you can get good efficiencies but also have control over your bidding?
