I'm wanting to know what people think is better. Kaiser or ucla health for working as an admin staff. Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. Ugh, I feel you—it can be so frustrating! Have you tried temp agencies that specialize in legal placements? Sometimes they’ll get you in as a file clerk or receptionist to start. Also, networking with paralegals or joining local legal groups could help open doors. You’ll get there, it just might take a minute. I think the temp agency route could definitely be a good one!
I didn’t know what was an option!! Thank you
Apply to a law firm as a receptionist, file clerk, admin assistant, legal secretary, etc. while you are in school. Even work part time. That first foot in the door is the hardest, once you are in, so much easier to move up.
Also, try a site called Internships.com along with usajobs.gov sometimes has summer employment.
