Fan duel, have never bet over 50, do it more for fun. I find basketball the best mostly because it has the most polarity in teams, and players more consistently put up numbers. Stay away from hockey cause they are too low scoring to know which player will get points, though for team v team, I like to do hockey parlays

Never tried hockey either. I only went up in stakes after I took down a few top prizes in tourneys.
Mostly MLB. Not much of a risk taker, so usually just $20 or so a night on a few 50/50 contests.

I've played everything from $500 entry tournaments and lower. Mostly nba. But dabbled in baseball and football. I've played 50/50 at lower limits. I play NBA Tournaments max out my entries through my own excel files, BBM data and rotogrinders lineup generators.

So 50/50s are good for one off entries. I'd check rotogrinders if I were you. They typically have good lock players advice.
For tourneys you have to do multiple entries or its not profitable. Better off going lower stakes and doing mass entries than firing one bullet. Obviously with baseball strategies focused on using players from the same team is good for the compounding scoring.
You use any excel spreadsheets?
Dailybaseballdata.com. Usually spend a few minutes looking at historical batter v pitcher numbers, and pick a handful of guys to build a few lineups around based on OPS. Approach lends itself better to 50/50 contests, just looking for consistency and a high floor.

My thoughts on this are the sharks use algorithms to build their DFS models...what's to stop others from doing the same. I'd call mine rudimentary. Wondering if anyone has developed / tested anything more complex.
Sounds lucrative to me lol. I think I have an understanding of basketball, game theory and excel. Do you do this for NFL too? How would you recommend someone getting started in this? Im already interested in analyzing data as I try to incorporate the data into my fantasy team rosters/lineups or bets when I’m in Vegas, but the stuff you’re talking about sounds like many more levels of analysis
