What do chief creative type people do? I stumbled on some names who I used to recognize for their contributions to famous campaigns and it feels like every major holding company has 3-5 different type of chief creative labeled in some sort of way that used to be a powerhouse in churning out big work themselves.

The only time I ever interacted with those people was after a campaign was shot and we were showing work prob too late to change or during awards season when they were looking at cases

My was mom grumbling while working on a flier for her non-profit job. I asked if she was ok. She angrily told me her boss had went into the file, redone her entire concept, and added more words. So I told her what I tell myself, “There’s always another way to say something.” I also said that my bosses change my work, too. Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals. In a way, i do the job so well that i get asked to do more AD projs and guide more projs — but then: wtf does my CD do? They mostly just 👍🏻what i direct n approve
