Comminuted with the Rm that I don’t have the car and she suggested that I reach out to the audit engagement team to see if I can Uber. I did that and given the distance of almost 2hours, the senior responded saying they pretty much can’t reimburse me for that. What can I do since I don’t have a car? Open to suggestions! I really wish I had a car to drive down there but I don’t.

Hi! I've been trying to reach the IRS about correcting a name on a return, they won't process my tax return bc of this error. I call the number they provide 800-829-0582 ex. 372 or 772 and when I call i get a message that I need to call the number above. So it's driving me nuts bc it's a literal circle. I've tried calling the number listed on the IRS website and it's only prerecord info. I don't know what to do, any suggestions?

I'm on a H1B so I am supposed to pay Medicare and SS taxes, but my employer has not withheld anything- my hnr block advisor caught that but she just completed my returns assuming I don't have to pay those taxes

I quit a small PA company to join big4 but my manager here is picky and she fixed everything that I did to her way. Now old manager asks if I want to come back if she matches the salary. Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. That's the only IRA account I own. Do I need to open a traditional IRA and roll over 6k + realized gains into that account and keep the Roth IRA. So confused how this works and got conflicting information from Merrill.
