Whenever my day ends.
As long as it’s done before the 9am the next business day, 5pm and 5am are effectively the same time delivery wise.
EOD = 11:59pm
COB (close of business) = 6:00pm ish
"Eff off, I'll get to it."
By 11:59pm local time. Will I work that late? Nope.
You may even be able to get away with 6am local time.
EOD means end of day. If I’m still working, the day hasn’t ended. I don’t care if other people’s day has ended, they’re not doing the actual work.
The only correct answer
any time that day/evening
11:59 PM PST since y’all like to stuff my day with meetings

EOD to me: be in my inbox when I sign on at 6am or so, my time, the next day.
But if you want a time I’d say 11:59pm, the person doing the works time zone.
Three legit meanings:
1. End of the client's working day
2. End of your working day
3. Before the client logs off / goes to bed
And sometimes a stretch to 4. Before the client begins work the following morning.
It depends: if by EOD you mean me clocking out, then 4:30-sharp is my non-negotiable cutoff time. If by EOD you mean me owing you some work or other deliverable, then it means I still clock out at 4:30 and follow up the next morning asking for more time to get it done.
