What does everyone like the most about their job? I love working with people, I’m not sure what other career would give me the chance to work with people like this.

I like solving problems and making an impact. I do not like working with people lol.

Nursing is all about working with people too. So is prostitution. Or tour guiding or bar tending. So there are choices.

I like working in systems, not people

Human capital is about improving the company, specifically how the people operate within it to achieve the corporate strategies. Until we are all replaced by robots… goals, incentives, communication, policies, mindsets, and work processes, to name a few are the levers we look at. Idk about you but I’ve heard the WILDEST sh*t in this profession by HR pros and “the business”

Everyone has their bias and shortcomings, you and me included, but that’s jaded me on “working with people” especially when everyone thinks they’re unique.

SO and I got in to a disagreement on the background of Indian tech CEOs. It appears that they are all from 1 or 2 major communities in India.

While he thinks that its genetics/being naturally gifted that got them to where they are I believe it's the environment & discipline that made them successful. We are not from said communities but curious to hear your thoughts on who is more accurate.

I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.

I had an interview with DIAGEO last week and the interviewer looked pretty convinced. He told me I will be having my 2nd round next week but havn't got any update since then. Not sure if they didn't select me or the process is slow.. Anyone here having interview experience with the company??

Appeared for KPMG interview 45 days back. HR is intentionally delaying offer release. Done with 2nd round of interview in last week of July. My Lwd is in oct first week. She took documents on 23rd Aug and did salary discussion a week later. And giving shitty excuses like waiting for approval. Approver is on leave bla bla. Has anyone faced such issue with this company? I never expected such a shitty and worst recruitment process from a BIG4

I am currently a Senior Consultant in KPMG Australia’s human capital advisory function - however I have been recently offered a role with Accenture Australia’s human capital advisory function as an ‘Associate Manager’ with a 15K salary bump and an enticing bonus structure - with some very cool clients that they mentioned to me in their interview round. The issue is, my KPMG Partner has mentioned that I *may* be up for promotion nxt July. I am so stuck, not sure whether to take it or not.
