During winter, I use Aveda’s beautifying oil on my face, along with regular moisturizer. Works great for me.
I apply it pretty heavily at night and then in the morning I’ll apply a few drops. I would say I have combination skin but it gets pretty dry in the winter.
Anything with shea butter or petroleum
La Rochay Posay Lipikar absolute miracle! Been using it for two years. Use both wash and moisturizer
So I have eczema and it's been a constant mission to find the right products for my skin...I use a heavier moisturizer with hyaluronic acid - I can never spell it lol and I find that's better for my skin alongside a serum. That makes a big difference but I find I can't use it in the serum. I apply it 2-3 times a day when my skin is extra dry thanks to heaters etc
I’ve started using face oil instead or in addition to moisturizer and it’s been a game changer! I just bought one from Osea and it has been very nice. Other brands I’ve heard good things about Drunk Elephant, the Ordinary and I also enjoy Paula’s Choice.
You can apply to damp or dry skin. I apply at night as the last step.
Not sure what order to recommend when sunscreen is involved.

Youth to the People’s Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask every night (called a mask but it’s used as a nightly moisturizer).
Game changer. https://www.youthtothepeople.com/skincare/superberry-hydrate-glow-dream-mask/YTTP-12200.html
Add squalane oil before your moisturizer. It’s cheap and effective.
I really like Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream. Aloe Vera is not a good moisturizer. It does add moisture, but your skin drinks in some moisture and the rest evaporates.
If your skin can tolerate strong fragrances, I use weleda skin food when my face is dry. It's super heavy, and not meant specifically for face (can be used anywhere) but it gets the job done. Another I like is the Origins drink up overnight mask. They both make me look dewy when I wake up in the morning.
My skin seemed to get more and more dry as I got older. I have a good skin routine now, but if I even have a day off, everything goes crazy in my face lol! Anyway, one thing I use is a night cream, called Time Correcting Night Cream by Younique. It has changed everything for my face and even through the day.
Aveeno baby lotion. I wear it on my body and face as my main moisturizer, as it's quite cheap and works amazingly well, even with allergies and sensitivities.
