Maybe look at surbiton/kingston/richmond. Easy to get into london but very family friendly for your toddler
£1800 min for a one bed and that’s in east London , more like £2200 in central and it may be worth going for 2 as the difference between is lesser

It’s now more like £2500 in central for a decent one bed now. “Nice” neighbourhoods like Notting Hill, Queensway, Belsize Park, South Kensington will run you ~£2800 in the summer season not to mention being tiny. Two beds more like £3200. Don’t forget the £3000/month in daycare…
We pay £2,135 for a good sized two double bedroom, one bath in Clerkenwell (East/Central) but are lucky (got in during the dip of COVID with a corporate landlord that just glad of the occupancy). For a family of three you’d get better value for two beds. Look at South East. Brockley area maybe. Places off the tube are better value but you can still get good train and bus connections.
