It’s our onshore “offshore” team. Lower pay, different expectations, located in low COL areas.
Target profile is generally folks who are talented but lack the pedigree to get their resume looked at — went to a low tier school, whatever — or people who really want to live in Columbia. For them, it can be a great opportunity — I know of at least one person who went to the AC, transferred to core, and then lateraled to S& so is now making MBB equivalent money, and they have a profile that could never have gotten a look at MBB just due to educational pedigree (stupid, I know, but that’s another discussion). Others have leveraged the PwC brand on their resume to open other doors.
If you’re already at D, I doubt it will make much sense for you unless you are wanting to take a pay cut and move closer to home. And in the COVID era it’s not like we are traveling anyway.

Thanks for the info, P1. Any idea on the AC in Shanghai, China? I assume it will function as the same.
These were known as SDCs (Service Delivery Centers) until the recent name change to ACs. If you’re looking at the one in Columbia SC, note that it takes quite a lot of effort and support to move from one to other part of the business (plus a move to another city) and it doesn’t happen often.
