Hey can anyone shed light on the Technical Accounting Consulting group at RSM compared to Big 4 (EY FAAS) with regards to work life balance / middle market client demands / flexibility?

Interviewing soon with EY for a senior role (TD FSO). I originally applied for their core practice but the recruiter convinced me that since I’m coming from a financial services audit background, I’d be better suited for their FSO practice. Assuming I get the job, would exit opportunities be worse if I am in FSO instead of the core group? Thanks!

I’m so tired of US companies hiring remote Canadian employees offering to pay a fraction of the price for the same role.

does wipro pays for notice period recovery , I preponed my release date from current org and I see that as recovery amount in my provisional f&f , I have sent a couple of emails, talked to wipro HR a couple of times asking if they shall pay for recovery but their response has been non committal so far , what should I do so I could get the notice period recovery done , the DU am going to, hiring manager from that told that it could be claimed but HR has not given anything in written so far?

My home office is NY but I live in NJ and I’m filing taxes in multiple states that I worked in this year. On my W2 federal wages are the same as NY state wages, how do I track down my New York w2 wages without access to my detailed timesheets? Can I just subtract my total wages from the state wages from my W2 of the other states I’ve worked in?

Left McKinsey for a Fintech corporate last year. Really disappointed to see bonuses given out (cash is equivalent to half month salary, equity vested over 5 yes also not great) after getting the 5/5 rating and business doing well overall. Doubting my decision to come to industry. Is this the norm? Feels really low as historically variable has been a big enough component for me to pay down loans/invest.

Is chasing promotion is a losing game? Is it better to get the experience I need for the exit instead of just killing myself doing everything the firm wants me to do so they can consider promoting me?

4YOE @Amazon & trying to lateral to a similar role @FAANG. Have my undergrad GPA (3.8/4) on resume from top 15 school but colleague says to take it off (looks silly). If it’s a good school & high GPA, why ever take it off your resume? Even if 10 YOE...can’t hurt?

Have an offer in industry (banking) but no signing bonus. What's a reasonable % of base to request without offending anyone? I don't want to lose the offer but I'm leaving 6 months of bonus on the table and assume my new bonuses will be prorated.

If recruiter tells you that you barely passed but the team is willing to take a chance on you, can you still negotiate?
