Marketing Specialist $60K + $3K sign on bonus, amazing company benefits, flex time off, remote position, great people thus far (starting was $55K for this role) TX 2. Marketing Specialist $67.5K with above average company benefits, accrued hours, in office 3x week, so far people seem nice (starting was $65K) IL I love the idea of more money but is that always the way to go?? Im weighing two options with former managers that I worked with. Option 1: $114k (paycut from current salary); manager role overseeing a team of 7; great manager and work life balance /// option 2: $150k + bonus ; director role working with market leadership team so lots of visibility and if I do well can grow into more things. Work life balance should not be more than 50-60 hours a week but it was with a former micromanaging boss. I also have a toddler with most of the responsibilities

How hard do you push interns? An intern told me that a task took 4 solid hours, which seemed very high for the output provided. I checked the file version history, and there are a few 30-60 min breaks, and 80% of the task was obviously done in the hour before a check-in deadline. How, and how harshly should I push them on this discrepancy? Before you ask, this was a data transformation task that happens 100% in the same file, with no need to Google, use other files, ask for help, etc.
