Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Dang, and I though 8k was a lot.
@deloitte1 days were different with Monitor group which was much better firm and it’s much different now after it’s integration with deloitte
Yes. But mainly if you’re coming in with some sort of experience. Sign on bonuses are recruiting tools to hedge against you going to another firm. Apply to another firm and let the recruiter know you’re considering another offer.
Sign on bonus I negotiated was 32k
Also often used by recruiters as a tool to get you in when you're maxing out at a current band. Can't justify increasing your salary by another $10-20k? Ask for the one time bonus. It ends up being less overall due to compound raises and the rate at which it's taxed, but it's better than nothing.
