When does HCL pay annual bonus? Which month?
Selected in a Big4 firm and one MNC shortlisting is going on, hopefully will be selected within 7-8 days. The MNC will be offering good package, but Big4 is just giving 20% hike in my salary and waiting for my decision to say yes or no,to proceed further with offer letter. Query :1. If I say yes to the Big4, and when they issue the offer letter, and then I reject, can they blacklist me. 2. Also if accept the offer and say no, in that case can they blacklist me from their firm.EY Deloitte KPMG PwC

All the answers given are very operational.
The main reason why tech jobs pay much more than any other job today is because any tech made is much much more scalable and will have the potential to generate more profit in the long term than any other work. Especially any operational work which doesn't scale that well.
Eg. To handle an operations or manufacturing utility you need to increase the workforce on a very linear scale in which you need to increase your output. However, this ain't true for tech products and any good tech product will scale to virtually any extent without the increase of any input cost.
Obviously the one who actually code and make things work are expensive than the one who just do bakar with nice English accent on phone
AVP1.... you are right
Because of supply demand gap for good quality software engineers.

The people who are paid high are expected to be good at multiple tech like full stack/ back end + ops, etc. So they have much more knowledge on the project and are providing higher worth.
