Will vary greatly by industry and project. How ever, in general, you have a lot of control over your own wlb as a senior manager.
I rarely put over 40-50 hours in a week with strong metrics. But I've also seen other senior managers with no personal boundaries regularly put in 60+ hours, nights, weekends.
There are exceptions and certain partners or industry niches that I will avoid at all cost due to poor scoping or unrealistic resource allocation. As a senior manager you have a lot more control of this both in the sales cycle or during the start of the project.
I can also confirm this is accurate
Was a SM for many years. My average week was about 45-50 hours.
No issues ever taking pto, non chargeable time, etc.
