What is there to do next after applying consistently for 8 hours a day on indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc as well as reach out to people on LinkedIn, and also email companies directly asking for job opportunities? I feel like I’ve done everything that’s been recommended and have gotten interviews but none into the final interview stage; only phone screening or a second zoom call. It always ends up being because I don’t have a niche skill they need and probably don’t have enough staff to train..

Researching the job mkt & pay for nursing: It is so easy to set up a first interview esp. as a nurse. Set up a zoom meeting, in the zoom meeting ask abt job details and ask for the salary range. They will give it to you, and in my case it was the same range for both of the companies. (Hospice oncall nurse here👋). Then you fit in somewhere on that continuum based on education & experience—that where the negotiation comes in—they will make a case to place you as low as possible on the scale.

I had the first round with a consulting firm and it takes them more than a month to arrange the final round and the recruiter is not being responsive. Is that normal?

Sadly a lot of recruiters are unemployed and being ghosted themselves.
