What is with this job market? Can someone explain to me how I have over 10 years of experience, but I still haven't been able to find a job? I couldn't even get an interview leading up to busy season.

Have others found it hard to transition from Audit to Financial Analyst? All the recruiters I’m meeting with are telling me I probably won’t get an interview since they’re looking for someone who’s ready to hit the ground running.
It’s discouraging because I’m a fast learner, and from talking to my friends who are Financial Analysts, it doesn’t seem like what we do is so dissimilar.

My current city has a population of about 500k and my hometown is about 100k. My main reason to move away from my hometown was dating and jobs, but neither seem to be going any better over the past 2 years. All folks who recently started with PwC. Had the HR reach out to you with regards to laptop and other onboarding info? I had reached out to them to ask if they had completed by background check since I couldnt see the process. They had said "it was completed and I should get an email confirmation". Nothing from them. Just wanted to confirm when I should expect to see the email, if any, about getting a laptop.

Soo lol if I don't want to be an internal auditor, senior accountant, controller or financial analyst is there really anything left with CPA/accounting where the background will help? Srs
