My research has had its funding cut. I'm pretty sure I'll be let go shortly.

Not having a job. My contract ends at the end of June and they’re getting a new CEO on the first so I might be terminated before then depending on how he decides to run the company

Been in the strat game for over a decade; I’ve realized that a strong department with clear process that is built on end to end problem solving (with time to think) is when I’m happiest vs this award show / case study grind. What are some agencies you all work or have worked at, that value strategy as a department and not a creative case study farm? Looking to figure out what’s next.

Newer manager here (18 moths). Recent org announcements and hiring holds have put major stress on my team. Some are hyper focused on all the bad, how do I get buy-in that this is temporary and we still have a job to do? I feel it’s more important than ever to show value vs being task takers.

I am fairly green in academia (< 1 year) and I want to shift to an area of research which I always wanted to do but never could as a Ph.D. student (because of conflict of interest).
The issue I am facing is that due to lack of my documented research experience in this field (read, lack of papers) I am finding it very hard to land any grant and reviewers keep saying "The PI hasn't demonstrated any experience in said research" blah blah.
Any advice on how to overcome this?

Hey everyone. I keep coming across comments about the predatory practices of journals but can’t find any details. Could you explain?
