What key metrics do your company focus on to measure employee engagement and satisfaction?

You will have to administer a survey and include anchor items that measure employee perceptions related to the meaning they associate with their job, how much autonomy they are afforded, how they view opportunities to grow and develop, how much impact their work has, and how connected they feel to others in the workplace.

A survey is the best way to assess engagement but in the absence of doing that you could look at:
- employee turnover
- employee absenteeism
-% of people who participate in training programs voluntarily
-promotion/succession activities
- % of goals completed

I need some advice. I’m the Director for a women’s only RTF. Everyone on site is my direct report, with the exception of the therapists (they report to the Clinical Director). The clinical director is not usually on site, since we have multiple locations, and she is the CD for the entire company. One of the therapists has been a manipulative snake since she started here last December. This is her first job after college and she just turned 23. See comments for more info…

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?
