I have 9.5 yrs of experience and am currently level 62 in Microsoft. I feel I should be Senior SE in Microsoft (level 63) but when I got microsoft offer last year the HR said it is the maximum they can give. Fixed base is 28 LPA. There is an upcoming appraisal cycle in September, so I wanted to ask how much can I expect Microsoft to adjust the base salary in this appraisal cycle ( given my performance was decent) ?

Hi guys, I got an offer from x and i discussed that with my current. At 1st current said they can only give 30% increment. I said I can't stay with this cause i got 70% and expect at least 50%(as the 70% included VP and the current org don't have vp, they have bonus). Then they said they can do max 45%. I really wanted to stay here so I said okay to current. Then now hr called me and said they are matching the offer(no vp). What should I make out of it? What made them change their mind?

Which of the following would you go for: 1) MBB, specialist role in a sector I’m indifferent to; $145k total comp with potential for promotion to post MBA level in January; business school sponsorship iffy (recruiter said generally no but has seen it in select situations); 2) stay at current T2 firm, guaranteed to be post MBA level in fall; $170k base + historically ~5-10% bonus; firm has seen huge attrition; technically a generalist but get staffed most of the time in the same sector as MBB job

When I joined my current company, we were on a quarterly bonus structure with guaranteed payouts each quarter. This was, in fact, how the recruiter said he could meet my salary request.

The company just announced we are moving to annual payouts only, with no payments for 2023 until May 2024. There are no raises happening.

This amounts to 12% less money in my pocket in 2023 plus inflation.

Is this standard, or should I be looking for opportunities elsewhere?

I was just checking my salary slip on new payroll tool and found some interesting things.
There is some ex-gratia 3 amount ( less then rs. 500) and income tax deducted is more then last months (which is unusual as I have declared my fbp and IT declaration in oct only). My school deliberately cut the number of classes that the specials teachers teach so that we could be building subs for quarantined and sick teachers (we are hybrid). So... I teach fewer classes (which is a relief because specials teachers teach way more classes than core teachers normally) but I'm pulled for most of my planning periods to babysit classes. I need my planning periods so I can redo my ENTIRE curriculum... and I just feel unappreciated, used, and nothing more than a babysitter.

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?
