I was offered a part time Internal Audit Sox Lead role for $70/hour. It’s a remote role, perm with benefits and I’m very excited for it. They offered me the exact amount that I asked for, and now I’m wondering if I did not ask for enough. I’ve never had a company offer me exactly what I asked for. Thoughts? I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I was told to apply to a hospital job by someone interested in interviewing me. The recruiter reached out. Asked for my availability but then didn’t respond when I gave her my availability. I followed up. We scheduled a phone call (she said she’d call) and then she didn’t call! At this point, I’m thinking they’re totally disorganized. Is this common practice? I’ve never dealt with a recruiter so I don’t know.
