Was originally hoping to find a nice midi summer dress, but most dresses I find I would not want to wear around co-workers (too low cut, spaghetti or no strap, backless). I’ll be asking my last job for a letter of recommendation but I’m not sure who to ask. My boss, who is lovely and would write an amazing LOR. Or my boss's boss who would put minimal effort in but it would have more weight.

So my VP at my previous company felt bad and refused to speak to me or attend my farewell after my resignation. His reason was that I somehow betrayed his trust as he had promoted me just last year (after keeping the position open for 4 months and letting me take additional work load after the previous SM left!). Does this make any sense? I mean where does this sense of entitlement or ownership over the employees come from? No wonder the company in question is kind of facing a literal exodus!

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. Our annual reviews are approaching & one of my direct reports has been with us for almost six years w/ little growth. Stupid Question- We have been thinking for IVF and trying to understand with this process, is there any difference in the health and life of the child as compared to a child born without IVF.
