South Carolina, and no. Texas was much more Vet friendly IMHO. SC and NC have a long way to go.
I don't think you can really identify states that are generally not veteran friendly. Laws may vary on degrees of veteran support but I'd be surprised to hear of any legal discrimination. I'm sure there are pockets of anti-veteran sentiment but these would be small local areas (Berkeley, CA? Just guessing). But most of the country is veteran friendly.
