I feel trapped. I hate consulting, hard work, corporate life in general. I have so much student debt after MBA school that I have to take these high paying jobs that require a lot of effort but I just don’t think I’m built to do this forever. I don’t spend much on other things but it’s scary what happens to my finances if I make a major purchase like a house, have a kid, etc. Not sure if I’m asking for advice or rambling
Talk to me about au pairs. What was your experience? How much did it cost? What service did you use to find one? I have a baby and a toddler and they go to a great small daycare but we are moving and I am considering hiring an au pair instead of hunting for a daycare that I am comfortable with.
My brother has 2 kids, aged 6 and 3. They never call or keep in touch but take full on advantage of my 77 year old mother who has health issues and debilitating back pain. They put her in stressful situations...she never says no because she’s too nice. Today called and said dropping off both kids FOR 6 days while they go on vacation to Florida for someone’s bday. I live in another state but am summoned to help take care of their kids with absolutely no notice. I say no & im the problem...
Mamas how are y’all surviving going back to work after leave. I feel like I’m sinking over here. I’ve been back for a month and was put on a project with ridiculous hours. I’m literally on meetings while picking baby up from daycare, during feeding time, and after putting baby down to sleep. I have help, but my husband is working long hours as well and he actually commutes to the office everyday.
4 year old in my kid’s daycare got COVID and parents said it was pretty bad. A reminder to stay vigilant parents with kids too young to get vaccinated!
Tell me the one question that one must ask a nanny about handling a infant / toddler which made you realize you got the right nanny . I recently interviewed a nanny who seems good but being a new mom I am not thinking long term when baby grows whether she would be able to handle as well .
Just found out I’m pregnant with my first (married). It’s a welcome surprise but was hoping to make manager summer of 2021. What should my move for promotion be? I’d be due in Nov, mid years are Dec.
Our baby girl is now 3 mos old and has been exclusively breastfed (with the exception of the first few weeks where she got the enfamil bottles while my supply was still getting established). We now want to give her a bottle at night but she completely refused the formula bottle and puked her guts out throughout the night because of the few sips she took. What do we do now?Anyone have recommendations for alternative formulas we can try? How would you reintroduce formula to a baby like this? TIA
Received a job offer to go client side the day I found out I am pregnant again. I know I qualify for mat leave, but am unsure if I tell them before I start. I have a history of first trimester loss.
Planning to have a baby next year. Anyone have suggested resources to look through to better understand what medical insurance plan to go with?
So I'm just going to put it out there, how realistic is it to have a child while being a women consultant?
Baby is almost 6mo and has a flat spot on the back of his head (right side). The pediatrician referred us to a physical therapist who suggested exercises that have him look the opposite way of his flat spot. They said PT is just as effective as a helmet if done early. But we put him in daycare during the day and I don’t know for sure if he’s getting a proper amount of “baby exercise”. Anyone ever been in a similar position? I wanted to avoid a helmet but thinking it may be best.
Do any of you have experience getting promoted or trying to get promoted while pregnant? How’d you go about it and what was the outcome?
If anyone is looking to adopt an amazing pupper, look no further than my girl Annelle (Nelly) (6 yo). I’m trying hard to get her adopted! Super sweet, good with kids and dogs. Not cat tested. Happy to chill all day but full of energy outdoors. 🐾 https://petlover.petstablished.com/pets/public/1159058?awo=Atlanta+Lab+Rescue&widget=false
The show Secretly Pregnant is so messy but helps the day go by faster lol. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Just this second my long time boyfriend told me he is not planning on getting the vaccine. We were going to move in together in May/June. We each have a kid. Thoughts?

My ex cut me out of his life. Even though it’s fully within his right to do so, I am anxiously attached and I feel like I’m going to die. I’ve been reduced to a shell of a person and I don’t know if ill recover from this.
EY fishes- what’s the typical comp range for experienced staff in Tech Consulting? L/MCOL, want to make sure that I’m not lowballing myself.
Lateraling to a V100. Background check just completed and the vendor sent a copy of the report. Everything is clear except for the driving record which says “adverse” and shows 2 speeding tickets. Will this be an issue? I haven’t heard from the firm recruiter yet.
I watched an interview with a psychologist who explained Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and realized this describes my ex to a T. Delusions of grandeur, prone to fits of rage, vain, jealous, thinks everyone is beneath him, entitled. I tried to love him even harder and accommodated every whim to try and make it work. And basically the doctor said that Narcissists don’t change. I’m sad that I wasted 3 years of my life but glad that I’m out. Anyone else healing from dating a Narcissist?

Has anyone here worked with a voice coach to help with interviews? I spoke to an interview coach and she said my biggest issue is that I come across as timid because of my voice and that working with a voice coach would make a world of difference. On the fence about this.
